Foundation Principal Announced for Wollert’s Newest School

The foundation principal for Wollert’s newest primary school has been announced and brings with him a wealth of experience after previously leading two large Catholic primary schools.

Tim Kelly is the new principal of Glowrey Catholic Primary School Wollert where he has already set about building an active and supportive community where parents will be encouraged to participate in the life of the school.

Just as he did at his previous school, St Carlo Borromeo in Greenvale, Tim will be encouraging families to similarly participate at Glowrey because he is passionate about making sure that a school is a place where students and staff want to be and where parents feel very much part of the community.

One of his first and most important jobs will be to recruit teachers who share his vision to make Glowrey Catholic school an outstanding learning community.

“I am looking for staff that will work as part of a team and work towards a shared vision where we can be aspirational for every student. I want staff that are willing to go ‘above and beyond’ to ensure every student is supported in a safe, engaging and nurturing school environment.”

Tim is particularly looking forward to the unique opportunity to build a new school from the ground up. “Glowrey will offer a wonderful contemporary learning environment where our new school vision will develop and grow as the school does.”

He is also excited to develop the school learning philosophy because he is passionate about ensuring that students reach their full potential, take risks in their learning and dream big.

“Glowrey will be a school where students come first. It will be a place of high quality education where each child’s learning and social and emotional needs will be catered for. It will be driven by a strong Catholic ethos where Gospel values will be lived and visible in all that we do.”

The new school is located at 10 Baltrum Drive, Wollert.
